BMCC continues to rank as one of the nation’s top colleges for awarding associate degrees according to the 2015 Community College Week (CCWeek) Top 100 report released on September 14.

BMCC Partners with Citi Foundation to Offer Save for Success Program
Thanks to a $75,000 grant from the Citi Foundation BMCC will launch Save for Success, a Fall 2015 financial education program that will encourage students to save a portion of their financial aid and begin forming positive savings habits.

IT Training

BMCC Students Complete IT Training Lead by BMCC Per Scholas
On September 9, 2015, 18 Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC/CUNY) students graduated from an intensive CISCO certification program offered through a partnership between BMCC’s Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development, and the non-profit IT training organization, Per Scholas.

BMCC Fitness Center Open
The gym and fitness center are now open for the fall 2015 semester. The BMCC Fitness Center offers cardio and weight machines, as well as exercise workshops. Other offerings include half-court basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, ping pong, soccer, yoga and Zumba.

Yoga and Zumba class schedules are as follows:
Yoga is offered on Tuesdays 12:00 (noon) -1:00 pm and Thursdays 12:00 (noon)–1 pm and Zumba classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 -2:00 pm, and Wednesdays 12:00 (noon) –1:00 pm. Visit the BMCC Athletics website for updated activity, fitness and gym schedules.

Financial Counseling One-on-One Sessions
BMCC faculty and staff can learn how to maximize their CUNY retirement benefits and receive other financial advice by scheduling a one-on-one session with Ginger Romero Pardio, Financial Advisor with Halliday Financial. You can make an appointment with Ginger by calling (516) 671-1099 or (800) 1598 Ext. 271 or sending an email to gromeropardio@hallidayfinancial.com.
