This is a study abroad course that will further develop student’s four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in French. Students will consolidate their knowledge of grammar through contextualized analysis. Students will also do further work on selected contemporary themes related to French society and institutions (e.g. the press in France, cinema, food, etc.). Students will enhance their knowledge of French and Francophone language and culture through class meetings, seminars, and an experi-mental component which includes visits to sites of historic and cultural im-portance such as Versailles and important museums.
Program Fee: $820 (approximately - includes international airfare, health insurance, and program-related transportation, excursions, housing and some meals)
Additional Costs: BMCC tuition and fees for 3 credits, as well as out‐of‐pocket costs for personal expenses, visa, tips, and out-of‐pocket meals. Optional side trips to local tourist attractions may also incur additional costs.
Prerequisite: FRN 106 or above, or proficiency in FRN or above (as de-termined by the Modern Languages Department placement test plus at least three credits in a foreign language taught at CUNY.
