Social Justice Programs are the programming component of the overarching Social Justice and Equity Centers which focuses on current events, advocacy, creative education, and reactive as well as proactive programming to improve the campus climate and culture of BMCC.
Statement of Purpose
Social Justice Programs educate and engage the BMCC community on advocacy, allyship and human rights topics, that shape the realities of students in and out of the classroom. Through workshops, training, intergroup and cross-cultural dialogues, we aim to amplify awareness, create empowered spaces, and celebrate intersectional identities to decolonize education, encourage radical self-love, and foster healing.
