The Pride Center offers a variety of programs and events throughout the year to educate, support, and enhance the BMCC community. All members of the BMCC community are welcomed to participate.

Pride Month
The Pride Center is an active participant in BMCC Pride Month. While BMCC hosts somePride Month programs in June (which is nationally recognized as Pride Month), our official celebration takes place in October since much of the campus community is away during that time for summer break. We collaborate with the The Pride Month Committee to plan a fun and diverse calendar of events just for you! All Pride Month related activities are posted on BMCC Pride Month Calendar of Events.
Lavender Graduation
Lavender Graduation ceremonies are celebrated on many college campus to honor the achievements and contributions of all LGBTQIA+ and Queer student graduates. BMCC celebrated its first Lavender Graduation in 2019 with support and partnership from Student Affairs, the Office of Student Activities, the Rainbow Panthers Student Club, and Student Government Association. The Pride Center is excited to be part of this initiative for years to come!

CUNY LGBTQIA+ Hub
The CUNY LGBTQIA+ Hub, is a resource overseen by the CUNY LGBTQI+ Council, a CUNY-wide committee of faculty and staff dedicated to supporting the intersectional LGBTQI+ communities across the university system. It is a great resource for students to connect across CUNY, get access to updated policies, resources, programs, and leadership opportunities across CUNY and NYC.
CUNY LGBTQI Student Leadership Program
The CUNY LGBTQI Student Leadership Program brings together undergraduate students within the CUNY system for a year-long leadership training experience to cultivate the next generation of LGBTQI leaders. Activities include interactive training workshops focusing on leadership and personal development, civic and community engagement, and social networking opportunities with LGBTQI industry and community leaders.
