The BMCC Research Core supports the college's research core facilities that are established to make research more efficient and cost effective. Personnel in the cores provide supervision of student researchers, training and support for user operated instruments and technology, information on the capabilities of lab instruments and services, and assist in the purchasing and funding of core equipment and supplies.
BMCC’s core facilities provides support for the college’s academic programs and serves as a vital resource for the enhancement of instruction, learning and research for students and faculty.
Laboratory Heath and Safety Compliance is important when working in BMCC research facilities. It is imperative that students and faculty comply with all BMCC Safety Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
The City University of New York requires all researchers, including faculty, staff and student researchers to complete the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) compliance courses for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the Protection of Human Subjects Research (only for human subjects studies).
