Message from the Interim President to Faculty, Staff and Students (03/19/2020)

Dear BMCC Community,

We are moving as quickly as possible to close as much of the BMCC campus as possible, while maintaining the delivery of instruction and student services through a distance. Our intent is to greatly reduce the number of staff who need to come to campus, which we have already accomplished to a considerable extent.

199 Chambers Street Building will be open on Friday, March 20, but limited to 2nd floor main entrance for payroll collection only.

Distribution of payroll checks will be conducted by the main entrance at 199 Chambers Street. In order to maintain safe distancing and group congregation rules, could you please try to follow this schedule:

• Employees with last names starting with letter A through Letter K should come from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Employees with last names starting with letter L through letter Z should come from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be no additional distribution of paychecks until the following payday in two weeks.

Fiterman Hall computer labs in Room LL03/04 and Room F1113 will be open March 20 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with social distancing rules and thus limited seating in effect. Faculty and staff can access Fiterman Hall on a limited basis.

Murray computer labs in Room 1109 and Room 1209 will be open March 20 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with social distancing rules and thus limited seating in effect.

We are closely monitoring usage of these facilities to determine if they need to remain open. For continued updates, please visit the BMCC website.

The health and well-being of our BMCC community is our highest priority. Please take good care of yourself, your families, and those around you.
