Applications to participate in the President’s Scholars Program (PSP) must be full-time faculty holding the professional rank of Associate Professor or below. Faculty must agree to submit a proposal with a funding threshold of no less than $50,000 from a predetermined list of funding programs.
The funding sources will be selected by the Presidential Scholars Program Advisory Committee and will serve the dual purpose of advancing institutional funding priorities and promoting faculty research. Among the programs under consideration are:

Prospective applicants will be nominated by their Chair and selected by a seven-member selection committee comprised of representatives from the college’s senior administration.   

Institute Staff

The Proposal Development Team in the Office of Sponsored Programs, assisted by experts from several prominent universities (New York University, the University of Texas and CUNY) will serve as the primary instructors and coordinators for the program. Additional presenters will be engaged from time to time, including mentors, program officers from several agencies and other CUNY faculty with strong track record in sponsored research.
