Dear BMCC Community:
Today, I am pleased to share an important update regarding our ongoing commitment to academic excellence and leadership within our institution. I am excited to announce that we have formally established the search committee for our next Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. This pivotal role is essential to our mission at BMCC. The search committee will assist in identifying candidates for consideration. Key stakeholder groups will also have an opportunity to participate in the search process.
I extend my appreciation to each and every one of you who participated in the nomination process during our College Council and Academic Senate meetings. Your insights and contributions are invaluable, and they reflect the collaborative spirit that defines BMCC.
I am pleased to introduce the members of the search committee, who will play a crucial role in this process: Dr. Shirley R. Pippins, our Lead Consultant from the search firm, Ms. Disa T. Mason, representing the search firm, Mr. Anthony Portannese, Chair of the Search Committee and Chair of the BMCC Foundation Board, Dr. Sandra Lindsay, representing our Alumni and the BMCC Foundation, Dr. Eda Henao, Co-Chair, Professor Christopher Stein, Co-Chair, Dr. Sanjay Ramdath, Dr. Peter P. Hoontis, Dr. Yolanda Medina, Dr. Janice Walters, Dr. Ronnie Ursin, Dr. Adele Kudish, Dr. Deborah Gambs, Dr. Melanie Oram, Dr. Pedro Perez, Dr. Ashtian Holmes, Mr. Mohammad K. Alam, Ms. Carei Thomas, Ms. Sandra Cortez, Ms. Tiffany G. James, Ms. Alison K. Young, and Mr. Stephane Kakou, our Student Government Association representative. I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of them for accepting this important responsibility.
