National Administrative Professionals Day

Dear BMCC Community,

Today, April 27, 2022, we celebrate National Administrative Professionals Day! Before there was an Administrative Professionals Day, there was a National Secretaries Day, created in 1952. We’ve come a long way since then, and so have the responsibilities of administrative professionals across every industry, including higher education.

With remote and hybrid teams now the norm, recognizing the efforts of support staff is more important than ever. On this day let’s shed light on the many contributions BMCC administrative professionals devote to our students, faculty and staff.

During the pandemic, many administrative professionals were instrumental to the offices, departments and divisions they support, tackling new challenges and exhibiting grace under pressure while helping students and employees stay connected and engaged.

Administrative professionals provide real benefit to the people they support and our entire college. I encourage the BMCC community to take a moment today, share a kind word and to say “THANK YOU” to our administrative professionals for everything they do.

Continue to support each other in the days ahead as we begin approaching the end of the 2022  spring semester.

Sincerely,
