The Brooklyn Women’s Chorus Presents Somewhere To Begin

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center (BMCC TPAC), the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, proudly presents The Brooklyn Women’s Chorus in a concert performance, Somewhere To Begin, on Friday, May 11 at 8 p.m.

The Brooklyn Women’s Chorus was formed in 1997 by musician and songwriter Bev Grant. The group presents a repertoire ranging from South African freedom songs to socially relevant songs by contemporary American performers Garth Brooks, Jackson Browne and others. 

Albums by The Brooklyn Women’s Chorus include Brooklyn Women’s Chorus and the Power of Song, and I Will Sing, which was recorded live at BMCC TPAC in 2014.

BMCC TPAC is located on the BMCC main campus at 199 Chambers Street, between Greenwich Avenue and West Street.

Tickets for the May 11 event are $21, or $15 each if five or more are purchased at a time, through the BMCC TPAC Spotlight 5 program.
