The annual Faculty and Staff Recognition ceremony and luncheon was held April 21 in the 13th floor Fiterman Hall Conference Center to honor those who have provided service to BMCC for 20 to 50 years.
The event was sponsored by BMCC President Antonio Pérez and the Office of Academic Affairs, including Karrin Wilks, Provost and Senior Vice President; Erwin J. Wong, Dean for Academic Programs and Instruction; Christopher Schultz, Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning; Jim Berg, Associate Dean of Faculty and Janice Zummo, Assistant Dean for Academic Support Services.
Dean Berg presented opening remarks, followed by greetings from Provost Wilks. President Pérez spoke in recognition of the honorees, who were called to the podium individually to receive a special gift.
Professor Caroline Pari-Pfisterer, who was recognized for her 20 years of service said, “Coming to work is like being on vacation. I enjoy it here very much. I love working with my colleagues and working with our students. Here’s to the next 20 years.”
