Congratulations to BMCC nursing alumni Carlos Santos, who just received the Beatrice Renfield Circle of Excellence Award and the 1199SEIU/League Nurse of Distinction Award as a Novice Nurse.
The award ceremony was celebrated jointly by Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Mount Sinai Beth Israel Brooklyn and was part of National Nurses Week, sponsored by the American Nurses Association (ANA).
Santos, now a registered nurse (RN) works the night shift at Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospital. He graduated from BMCC with an associate degree in nursing in 2007 and is now pursuing his bachelor’s of nursing at Adelphi University.
