The Nursing Department at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC/CUNY) is known for its illustrious alumni, such as recent Presidential Medal Honoree Sandra Lindsay and DAISY Award winner Ki Bang. It is also known for its support of nontraditional students, including outstanding male alumni in a field in which only 12% of the workforce, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, is men.

In addition, the BMCC Nursing Department provides a rigorous curriculum, state-of-the-art laboratory, student tutoring support and hands-on clinical program in public and private hospitals throughout the New York City area.
