BMCC Welcomes Diane K. Walleser, Vice President for Enrollment Management

Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC/CUNY) welcomes Diane K. Walleser, the college’s first Vice President for Enrollment Management. In this role, Walleser will lead BMCC’s enrollment and recruitment initiatives, and provide strategic direction to the Admissions, Testing, Financial Aid, Registrar, Scholarship and International Student Recruitment offices. She will work closely with Karrin E. Wilks, Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Marva Craig, Vice President of Student Affairs, to improve student retention and success.

Vice President Walleser’s experience includes over 14 years in the areas of teaching, recruitment, enrollment management and student support services at large community colleges. She served as Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Services at Columbus State Community College; Columbus, Ohio, and Vice President of Marketing and Enrollment Management at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisconsin.
 
In 2013, Walleser was awarded the national Strategic Enrollment Management Award of Excellence by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). She has worked to create seamless support and services for students through the development of one-stop centers,  a student tele-counseling center and specialized support services for veterans and underserved student populations.

In 2014, Vice President Walleser earned a doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. She earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin; as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Viterbo University, and Associate degree in Finance from Western Technical College, both in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Her experience is very much in line with the mission and goals of BMCC, and her efforts will help students thrive at our college.”
