BMCC THEATRE CLUB PRESENTS PIPPIN WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3

November 19, 2003

Borough of Manhattan Community College theatre students will present two performances of the musical Pippin on Wednesday, December 3, at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. in Theater II of the Tribeca Performing Arts Center.

The musical recounts the tale of Pippin, son of Charlemagne, ninth century emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, as he sets out to discover meaning in his life, dabbling in war, sex, and politics before finding love. The musical by Stephen Schwartz and Roger Hirson was originally produced on Broadway in 1972.

Admission is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for admission.

Tuesday, November 25, 12–5 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 12–5 p.m.
Tuesday, December 2, from 12–5 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 12–7 p.m.

BMCC theatre major Marcus Dargan will direct the musical by Stephen Schwartz and Roger Hirson. The Borough of Manhattan Community College Theatre Club and the Student Government Association, in cooperation with the Speech, Communications, and Theatre Department and the Tribeca Performing Arts present the production.
