On Sunday, October 5 at Pier 26 in Tribeca, BMCC students and professors took part in the NYC Marine Science Festival, Submerge! This day-long community event was presented in partnership with the New York Hall of Science and included environmental science demonstrations presented by BMCC faculty, staff and student researchers. These included professors Kathleen Ford, Matt Geddis, Lauren Goodwyn, David Krauss, Barry McKernan, Abel Navarro, Christine Priano, Sarah Salm, Kibre Tesfagiorgis, Chris Thompson and Lauren Wickstrom, as well as LSAMP Coordinator Jenny Paredes, Director of Research Helene Bach and photographer Richard Cole.
