“RE:SEARCH” provides a glimpse into the work of BMCC’s dynamic, diverse faculty of artists and designers. With a variety of approaches to art making on exhibit, BMCC faculty demonstrate expertise in techniques and styles ranging from traditional art media techniques in painting and sculpture that date back hundreds of years, to pieces made with advanced materials and cutting-edge technology.

Starting in Fall 2015, a new Art Foundations Program, conferring an Associate of Arts in Art History and Associate of Science in Studio Art, began preparing students for careers in the arts and successful transfer to four-year colleges. Art professors at BMCC have been helping students make that next step as they build portfolios for transitions to top art and design schools.
