After You Are Accepted

After you receive your acceptance letter from BMCC, please follow the steps below to complete your enrollment.

Let’s get started...

  1. Accept your Offer
    Let’s make it official! Login to your CUNYfirst student account (Your credentials have been emailed to you at the time of application). Click the “I Accept” button to accept BMCC’s offer of admission for the upcoming semester.

    You will be prompted to pay a deposit at this time.
    Please note that if you are applying for the F-1 student visa, do not pay the deposit until after receiving the F-1 visa.
  2. Apply for the BMCC I-20 from the International Student Services Office (ISSO)
    All international students will need to apply for the BMCC I-20 in order to obtain the F-1 student visa or maintain F-1 status.

    If you are currently OUTSIDE the U.S. and applying for the F-1 student visa, please review information on the F-1 visa interview process on U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Study in the State’s website.

    If you are currently INSIDE the U.S. studying at another school in F-1 status, please review the F-1 SEVIS Transfer process.
  3. Submit Your Immunization Form (MMR & Meningitis Form)
    It’s hard to make this step fun, but you’ll need to submit your completed MMR/Meningitis immunization form before you can register for classes. You will need to submit two doses of measles, one of mumps and one of rubella. You can submit your form to Health Services by:

    - Emailing copies to
    - Stopping by the Health Services Office (199 Chambers St., Room N-380)
    - Faxing copies at +1 (212) 220-2367

    If you don’t have access to your vaccination records, no worries, contact Health Services at (212) 220-8256 or, we may be able to do this for you.
  4. Schedule your CUNY Assessment Test
    You are eligible to register for your CUNY Assessment Test as soon as you accept your offer of admission! Check the Testing Office’s website to schedule your test.

  5. Ready to get Advised and Registered?
    Once your test scores/exemptions are processed, we’ll invite you to campus to meet with an academic advisor. Continue to check your e-mail for information on your Academic Advisement & Registration appointment.

    An academic advisor is looking forward to meeting with you to help select your classes for the upcoming semester and make a plan to guide you to graduation! Immediately after your advising session, you’ll be directed to our Enrollment Lab where an Enrollment Specialist will help you get registered!

    Attend an International Student Orientation Session
    - Session I: January 9, 2019
