Glenny Valoy

Assistant Professor, Social Sciences and Human Services

Glenny Valoy completed her BA from Hunter College in 1995 with a major in Sociology. She completed her MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work in 1998 with a concentration in Advanced Practice and Programming. Most recently, she completed her PhD in Social Welfare from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University.

Her dissertation explores the contributions of background characteristics, family, academic, and work demands on levels of burnout among undergraduate females at Bronx Community College, Hunter College and Lehman College, and to what extent informal/formal support help mitigate levels of burnout.  Her research interests continue to focus on the experience of women and other underrepresented groups enrolled in a college program.
