Michelle Ronda

Assistant Professor, Social Sciences and Human Services

Michelle Ronda earned a PhD in Sociology from the CUNY Graduate Center. Most recently, Michelle taught in Marymount Manhattan College’s Sociology program, both on the main campus, as well as at the satellite campus in the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility (New York State's maximum-security women's prison). She has taught combined courses, bringing students from the Manhattan campus together with incarcerated students in the facility. Her current research explores leadership development and civic engagement among the incarcerated through higher education opportunities within correctional facilities.
