Nancy Derbyshire

Nancy Derbyshire received her PhD in English from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2013. Her areas of scholarly interest include eighteenth and nineteenth century British literature, Romanticism, Labouring-Class poetry, and narrative theory. Professor Derbyshire’s dissertation is entitled “John Clare: Helpston’s Amanuensis.” She has taught courses on Gothic literature, heroines, and the early novel.
