Marcos R Betancourt

Marcos Betancourt is a theoretical physicist working in the field of computational biophysics. He earned his BS in Physics from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayag├╝ez, and his PhD in physics from University of California San Diego. Professor Betancourt has been an NDSEG fellow, an NSF postdoctoral fellow, and a research assistant professor at the UB Buffalo Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics.
His research has been focused in computational protein modeling, simulations, and design, resulting in many original peer-reviewed publications. He has taught numerous courses in physics as an assistant professor at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, and more recently as an adjunct professor at Long Island University Post.
