Liana Erstenyuk is a Lecturer of Mathematics at Borough of Manhattan Community College, CUNY.  She earned her MS in Mathematics and Physics Education at Precarpathian National University, Ukraine in 1991. Before immigrating to the US, she taught Mathematics and was a Principal of the High School of Economics and Finance. She worked on developing MAT 41 Mathematics Literacy – Quantway I course or non-STEM major and MAT 206.5 co-requisite course Intermediate Algebra and Precalculus for STEM major students. Her current interest is in inquiry-based pedagogy, teaching methodology for mathematics, quantitative literacy, and developing accelerated/integrated courses and online teaching and developing OER materials.
