Chelsea was born in rural northern Nevada, “The Home of Cowboy Poetry”. She is a Brooklyn based creator, working primarily with film and theatre. She has a particular niche in deeply character driven stories ranging from dark comedy to emotionally driven drama. She is a company member of Hapa Media, and a founder of GirlSoup Collective, and a member of the Playwrighting and Director’s Unit at the legendary Actors Studio.

Selected favorite projects include: ‘Diner NYC’, a FLAG Art Film Productions feature film in collaboration with Harlem Children’s Zone and the 92Y with Shaquille O’Neal and Barry Levinson. ‘Woe is She’ an 8 part multi-award winning comedy about depression. ‘Radical’ a new play written by Sergio Castillo, selected to perform in the Sanctuary Series at HERE Arts Center, followed by an invited podcast performance at The Parsnip Ship, and invited presentation at the 2017 North Carolina NAACP Conference.

She is currently developing a new feature set to shoot in Norway summer of 2023, directing commercials, and serving as the Co-Executive Director of the ASDS Rep Season at 80 Greenwich Street.
