Bethany Hines is an adjunct lecturer in the Speech, Communications and Theatre Arts Department at Borough of Manhattan Community College, City University of New York.
She got her start in education at Georgia State University-Perimeter College in Decatur, Georgia in 2014.
Hines earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communications from Arkansas State University. In addition to her love for communications, Hines is passionate about music and journalism. She’s a multiplatform producer at CNN Special Projects based in New York.

Courses Taught
- The aim of this course is to develop effective skills in speech communication. The student examines how to generate topics and organized ideas, masters elements of audience psychology and practices techniques of speech presentation in a public forum. All elements of speech production and presentation are considered.
