Born and raised in New York City, Alex has been in show business since the age of 14. Starting with his time at the High School of Performing Arts, to attending conservatory at SUNY/Purchase, to appearing off-Broadway with such award-winners as the late Geraldine Page and F. Murray Abraham, Alex has been at it for a LONG time.

After pursuing acting in his twenties, Alex shifted to the technical side of the business as both an AEA stage manager, followed by a long stint in the IATSE as a stagehand and film technician, work he’s greatly enjoyed. But his true passion was, is, and will always be acting. He’s been back at it for a while and is very much enjoying the ride. He truly looks forward to whatever happens next.

Multi-faceted, Alex holds an MFA in Directing and an additional Masters in Shakespeare. In addition to his work as a technician and actor, he is a college professor at CUNY/Borough of Manhattan Community College. He firmly believes that preparing the way for the next generation is part of our responsibility in this life.
