I have expertise in different areas of psychology, neuroscience, counseling and psychotherapy. I hold a doctorate in Experimental Psychology and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am licensed to practice psychotherapy in New York State.
My formation is eclectic and includes psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory, systemic thinking, and cognitive-behavioral principles. I completed post-graduate training in recognized institutions, such as the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (NYPSI), the William A. White Institute for Interpersonal Psychoanalysis, the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Program at Adelphi University, and the Family Therapy program at the Ackerman Institute.
Expertise
I have worked in different settings including community mental health, college counseling, and neuropsychological rehabilitation. I have helped individuals and families of diverse socio-economic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, students, young adults, older adults, professionals, immigrants, expats, members of the LGBTQI+ community and anyone facing life transitions.
