XXV Modern Languages Department Colloquium: Languages in the Professional World

MLD Colloquium the Word Welcome in different languages


The BMCC Department of Modern Languages invites you to the XXV Modern Languages Department Colloquium. The theme of this year’s event is Languages in the Professional World.

The Colloquium will take place on March 20, from 10 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. at Richard Harris Terrace (near the cafeteria), 199 Chambers St., Theatre II.

You will hear from professional, alumni and faculty. There will be 15 minute talks, followed by question and answer sessions.

Refreshments will be provided.

  • Find out how professionals are using their languages in the work place: Real experiences from real people!
  • Ask our guests how to find work opportunities, gain confidence speaking other languages, etc.
  • Enhance your resumé with BMCC language credits: Put your languages to work! Gain cultural competence and enrich your college experience by studying abroad: Study languages in China, Spain, France or Italy!
  • Take advantage of BMCC amazing programs: Make the most of your Experiential Learning and Internships, become a language tutor, etc.
