Create a powerful and compelling story in this inclusive and supportive workshop series.

The Department of Speech, Communication, and Theatre Arts is delighted to be co-presenting The Moth Story Lab All CUNY Workshop Series, a free 6-week in person workshop program where CUNY students (both undergrad and graduate) can learn the art and craft of true, personal storytelling in spring 2025.

  • You will  learn how to use Moth storytelling techniques to craft and share your personal stories.
  • You will get more comfortable speaking to others, building your personal narratives, interviewing and get to connect with fellow students.
  • This workshop is also your opportunity to develop material that could be performed at the BMCC Storytelling Open Mic, BMCC Storytelling Lives at the Perelman Performing Arts Center, and/or The Moth’s S/CUNY GrandSlam events in May.

Here are some clips of stories told by students in the past: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRmR7jg2s4-RLRKvxlSnqeR7IQhAeQRTc.
