The purpose of this program is to explore the history and systemic racism that surrounds hair discrimination against women of color at their places of work. The program aims to identify the practices that are used to prevent women of color in gaining access to employment, laws that are currently in place to protect against hair discrimination and solutions to empower a new generation of women to embrace their natural hair and protective hairstyles at the workplace.
