On January 20, 2025, we celebrate the birthday Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., an advocate of nonviolent activism, who dedicated his life to combating racism and fighting for justice and equality. We are honoring his legacy by organizing volunteer opportunities for BMCC to give back to the community during January
The Compassion Space at Trinity Church provides clothing, toiletries and diapers to individuals and families. We are looking for 10 BMCC student volunteers to help guests by retrieving clothing sizes, shoes, and diapers/wipes from our Compassion space and supporting with online clothing order forms on MS Excel and MS forms.
*Volunteers must be able to lift 10 pounds, bend, walk and reach overhead*
RSVP if you are interested in joining this activity: https://bit.ly/DRMLKService.
All volunteers are required to complete the Travel Release Form and the Volunteer Release Waiver.
The first 100 students who sign up and participate in volunteer events during BMCC’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Days of Service will receive a commemorative volunteer t-shirt.
