Asian Heritage Month: 17th Annual Haiku and Image Contest

April 1 - April 24
| Online

Celebrate Asian Heritage Month

The Asian Heritage Month 17th Annual Haiku and Image contest is back!  We invite BMCC staff, faculty and students to get their Haiku game on.

This year’s Haiku theme word is “joy.” Haiku entries must include the word “joy” and can be a part of a word like “joyous” or “joyful,” etc. Haiku submissions are accepted from now through April 24.

For the Image Contest, we invite you to submit a photo that represents the themes of joy, festival or celebration.  It can be a pair of images or an image that speaks to you about the theme in any way.

Submissions will be reviewed on their adherence to the theme and content.

Top winners will receive a gift card and a ticket to the Asian Heritage Month Dinner on Thursday, April 27 at 6 p.m. Top entries will be displayed both online and a place on campus.

Compose and submit your haiku or image here.

All BMCC students, faculty and staff are invited to submit their haikus or images.

Students receive co-curricular transcript credit (CCT) for participation at any two or more Asian Heritage Month events.
