Women's Herstory Month: Labor, Migration, and Human Trafficking: Impact

A panel discussion of how gender discrimination impacts labor trafficking in our hyper-globalized society. Mary Caparas, Director of Project Free Program at NYAWC (New York Asian Women Center), will discuss the impact of structural violence and discrimination against women and girls and their vulnerability to labor trafficking.

Several advocates who are working on anti-trafficking activism will join to provide their insights and share their experiences working with trafficked victims in NYC area. Professor Kim, who is the organizer, will serve as a discussant to introduce and facilitate the event.
