Hear the true story of how three Australian Aboriginal girls escaped incarceration, survived in the outback, and crossed the desert on foot to return home.
This event will begin with a 20 minute introductory lecture giving the historical context for the story depicted in the film followed by a screening. Following the film, the group will discuss questions related to themes of persistence and survival, female heroism, racism, and authority.
