March 11
5:00 PM — 7:00 PM
Room S723 at 199 Chambers St.

This workshop will introduce participants to a subset of the Nigerian Women in Agricultural Research and Development (NiWARD) and also to the Ndebele people, their indigenous mathematical knowledge as is evident in their lifestyle, and their symbolic uses of dolls.

Participants will engage in creating Ndebele dolls of this NiWARD subset, using recycled materials, and develop a financial production cost model for the production of their Ndebele doll representation of a NiWARD woman.

Sponsor: Nkechi Agwu and high school students in the BMCC STEP Program
