Those who choose this membership will have the opportunity to participate in career and employment opportunities, and field trips to local conferences and/or higher educational institutions that offer STEM related activities. Students with Basic CSTEP memberships are required to attend CSTEP workshops held on Wednesdays during BMCC Club Hours and apply for summer internships.

Membership Requirements:

  • Have a valid e-mail address and phone number.
  • Participate in at least five CSTEP workshops each semester.

Research Membership

The research membership is for students who are interested in participating in a hands-on, one-on-one research project with a BMCC faculty mentor in Science, Mathematics, Social Sciences and Human Services, Computer Information Systems, Health Education, Nursing, and Media Arts and Technology departments.

Research Membership Requirements:

  • Maintain at least a 2.75 GPA.
