Students are allowed to select their own internship sites, as long as the work is related to their major. Students will find paid and unpaid internships that may offer some form of compensation (stipend, metro card, lunches, merchandise, discounts). Students are strongly advised to search for an internship the semester prior to their course.
The following steps can help students in their internship search:
- Work with the Center for Career Development to polish your resume and prepare for interviews.
- Career Express – this is BMCC’s platform that allows students to search for jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities
- Connect with Internship Faculty – students enrolled in a major that requires an internship can reach out to internship faculty to learn about opportunities.
- Sign up for our newsletter to remain up-to-date on new opportunities.
