The Modern Language Department Language Laboratory serves about 175 sections of 27 different courses every week during the spring and fall semesters. It also serves 30 sections during summer sessions I and II and multiple courses during the winter session.
The Language Laboratory is currently conducting conversational lab sessions remotely and virtually on Zoom. Students join a scheduled weekly Zoom meeting and complete conversational modules in Blackboard using VoiceThread. College lab technicians support and monitor students during the Zoom meeting.

Students come to the lab as part of a class.
Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 9:15 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Lab hours may vary slightly from semester to semester depending on scheduling.

College lab Technicians (CLTs) developed over 150 conversational modules to use during distance learning. Blackboard, Voice Thread, Connect, GoReact, Eleteca, My Chinese link. The lab also has a vast bank of language and grammar activities, online language material and a foreign movie collection.
