A national organization that provides resource materials and networking opportunities.
New York Health Information Management Association (NYHIMA)
A non-profit organization whose membership consists of Health Information Management professionals employed in hospitals and other health care settings throughout New York State.
NYHIMA will help you keep abreast of issues specific to New York State (i.e., coding terrorist attacks)
Health Information Management Association of New York City
A local organization that can help you network a become involve with what’s happening in NYC. They also conducts seminars and organize other types of events. Students are encouraged to join.
