Accounting Club

The BMCC Accounting Club promotes interest in the Accounting Profession. The club affords students social and networking opportunities with other students, professors and accounting industry professionals. Membership is open to Accounting and Business Majors.

The club invites guest speakers from the Accounting Profession, including CPA Firms, Government Agencies and Private Industry Accounting Departments to share their professional experiences and career advice.

Field trips are taken each year to accounting firms, government agencies and/or corporations, so students may observe the accounting profession in action. Additionally, informational sessions on transferring to four-year colleges upon completion of the Associate of Applied Science degree are held.

The club meets every Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. via Zoom. Please contact the faculty advisors, Barry Cooper, bcooper@bmcc.cuny.edu, or Joel Barker, jbarker@bmcc.cuny.edu for additional information.
