Transfer Scholarships

The following is a list of transfer scholarships available to qualified BMCC students:

Adelphi University
Full time scholarships ranging from $4,000-$10,000 are available to students with a GPA of 3.0 or better
Part time scholarships ranging from $1,000-$3,000 are available to students with a GPA of 3.3 or better
Baruch College
Full tuition scholarships available to students enrolled full time with a GPA of at least 3.5
Berkeley College
Transfer Scholarships for Business Administration students with a GPA of 3.0 may be eligible for $5,000 per academic year.
Brooklyn College
The Brooklyn College Foundation Presidential Scholarship Program
New transfer students with 3.40 grade point average or better an associate degree, or at least 24 credits, will be considered for a scholarship for up to two years.
City College
Partial tuition to full tuition available for students majoring in Chemical Engineering with a GPA of 3.2.
Clark University
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship to $8,000
Transfer Leadership Scholarship in the amount of $5,000
Phi Theta Kappa All USA Scholarship of $15,000
Colorado State University--Provost's Transfer Scholarship
A new scholarship for non-resident students transferring to Colorado State. The award is $5,000 per year. >>more
Lehman College
Up to $1,600 per academic year, for transfer students, based on academic record—high school transcript may be evaluated.
Long Island University
Transfer Scholarships by GPA Amount:
for a GPA of 3.9 students can receive $11,000 per year for up to two years
for a GPA of 3.75 students can receive between $7,000-9,000 per year for up to two years
for a GPA between 3.4-3.74 students can receive between $3,500-5,500 per year for up to two years
Manhattanville College
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships by GPA Amount:
for a GPA between 3.5-4.0 can receive up to $7,500 per year
for a GPA between 3.0-3.49 can receive up to $6,000 per year
for a GPA between 2.5-2.9 can receive up to $4,000 per year
Marymount Manhattan College
Transfer Academic Excellence Award:
Candidates must be entering transfer students with 12 completed college credits and a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Students must be degree-seeking and full-time. Eligible students receive $4,000 per year.

Community College Honor Society Scholarship

Marymount College of Fordham University
BMCC Students are GUARANTEED some sort of scholarship ranging between $2,000-10,000 per year.
Mercy College
for a GPA between 3.8-4.0 can receive up to $6,000 per year
for a GPA between 3.6-3.79 can receive up to $3,000 per year
for a GPA between 3.4-3.59 can receive up to $2,500 per year
for a GPA between 3.2-3.39 can receive up to $2,000 per year
Monroe College
DIAMOND -- up to $3,300.00 awarded for a GPA between 3.75-4.00
RUBY -- up to $2,400.00 awarded for a GPA between 3.50-3.74
EMERALD -- up to $1,800.00 awarded for a GPA between 3.00-3.49
New York University-CCTOP Program
For Transfer Students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher interested in the areas of Nursing, Communications, Clinical Psychology, Education, Studio Arts and Theatre. Award ranges from $8,000-13,000 per year. Students need to be nominated by faculty or Academic Advisement & Transfer staff.
The New School
Academic Opportunity Grants ($2,500 to 5,000 per year) are awarded on the basis of merit and financial need;
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships ($2,000 each) are awarded in recognition of academic achievement to PTK members transferring to The New School;
LaGuardia Presidential Scholarships($3,500 each) are awarded to transfer students who have earned at least 60 credits in the liberal arts (selected students must enroll in at least 18 credits per academic year.)
Queens College
$2,000 per year is available to students with a GPA of 3.5 GPA or better and are US citizens.
St. Joseph’s College —School of Adult and Professional Education
Transfer Scholarships by GPA Amount:
for a GPA 3.6 or better can receive up to $6,300 per year
for a GPA of 3.3 can receive up to $3,000 per year
for a GPA of 3.0 can receive up to $1,500 per year
St. Thomas Aquinas College
Presidential Transfer Scholarship ($6,000 per year) Transfer GPA 3.6 or higher
Dean's Transfer Scholarship ($4,000 per year) Transfer GPA 3.4 - 3.59
Alumni Transfer Scholarship ($2,000 per year) Transfer GPA 3.0-3.39
Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Transfer Scholarships --$2,500, are renewable each academic year for students who maintain a 3.0 GPA.
