Why do students consider Nontraditional careers?
The answer for some students is simple: the pay and job benefits in traditional
careers meet their economic needs. Nontraditional careers can pay more than
traditional careers, especially for women.
How can we help you?
If you are in one of the Nontraditional career majors at BMCC, visit it
us. You will receive the following:
- • Admission to Nontraditional college transfer career fairs.
- • Assess to Nontraditional information and resources found in the NT Resource Center in S-763 to access job information, career outlook, and videos for nonTraditional students and their majors.
- • Admittance to nonTraditional career advisement and retention workshops.
- • Membership in the nontraditional career services club with accompanying newsletter and brochure.

You can pick up information from our office or speak with one of our nontraditional
careers academic advisors in the Academic Advisement and Transfer Center,
Monday – Saturday.
