Delaware State University
It is required that community college students meet the following criteria:
• Complete an Associate degree with a minimum
of 60 credit hours, exclusive of developmental courses work and D grade
course work.
• Achieve a cumulative grade point average of not less than 2.0 (in
a 4.0 system) as calculated by the community college.
• Follow the appropriate program of study as agreed by both institutions.
It is agreed that community college graduates will not be required to take College Entrance Exams or ACT exams prior to transfer to the receiving institutions.
It is agreed that in order to complete the baccalaureate degree, a student who transfers under this agreement may be required to take no more than 68 additional credits unless:
1. The student changes his or her program upon entering
the receiving institution.
2. The combination of additional general education requirements, if any,
and the requirements of the student's major at the receiving institution
total more than 68 credits. Under the terms of this agreement, transfer
students will be subjected to the same requirements as native unless waived.
"Native Student" refers to students who began their undergraduate
education at Delaware State University.
It is agreed that a transfer student may not be held to any degree requirements at the receiving institution that were established less than three years prior to matriculation at Delaware State University.
The terms of the agreement shall apply for a period of three years: from the time that a community college student applies for dual admission until matriculation at the receiving institution.
It is agreed that students may apply for dual admission, under the terms of this agreement at any point between admission to the community college and up to one year prior to matriculation at Delaware State University.
