About Us
The Teaching Learning Center of the Borough of Manhattan Community College reflects the mission of the College to preserve academic excellence and extend educational opportunities to a diversified urban population.
The Center strives to improve the quality of teaching and learning by cultivating an institutional climate that strengthens and promotes professional excellence.
To carry out its mission the Teaching Learning Center
provides a forum for faculty to exchange ideas about teaching and learning.
serves as a center for presentations, including teleconferencing, on a wide range of topics of professional interest.
maintains a collection of educational resources including books, video-, audio-, and computer-software and hardware.
disseminates information through such efforts as a newsletter and a calendar of faculty development events.
acts as the umbrella for faculty development activities at the College.
