Title V is a five year $2.329 million grant from the United States Department of Education under the Title V (Hispanic Serving Institutions) Program that was awarded to BMCC. The primary goal of the grant is to improve student success by adopting a single comprehensive activity which will introduce: 1) a new academic advisement model aimed at making students more dynamic decision makers and 2) and oversee the development of an electronic advisement database in order to improve the delivery of guidance and support.

The Title V Academic Advising Program is committed to guiding liberal arts students in the development of educational and career goals.
Consistent with the mission of the College and of the University to preserve academic excellence and extend higher educational opportunities to a diversified urban population, Title V deems its mission as providing liberal arts students, through a developmental process, with academic advisement that will improve student success and increase student retention.
