PREPARING FOR THE EXAM

You have many resources to help you prepare thoroughly for the exam:

	CUNY Skills Assessment site This booklet provides information about the City University (CUNY) Skills Assessment Program. It links to study resources, sample exams, strategies for taking the exams, and describes how each section of the exam is scored.
	CUNY Write site A collection of writing resources that provide instructional support in grammar and style, help with each stage of the writing process, and hints for how to handle various kinds of writing problems.
	CUNY Math site In addition to a variety of math resources, the CUNY Math site contains a practice test that covers topics identical to those covered on the actual CUNY Test. Additional exams and math tutoring can be obtained from the Math department.
	Skills Assessment workshops Students are strongly encouraged to take a short workshop to prepare for the CUNY placement exams. The workshops review test taking skills for reading, writing, and mathematics. To register for a workshop, look under personal development and choose college prep classes.
