Study Abroad Costa Rica

(No Costa Rica program for 2017)

This is a summer course taught abroad in a Latin American or Caribbean country. It offers the students the opportunity to travel, to share, to live and to study in another country. From a global perspective, this course explores the history and culture of a selected Latin American or Caribbean country by focusing on religion, homeland, art, family, identity, film, economic development, social and political movements and environment as they are presented as major themes of current research and in tangible appreciation of the student.

Program Fee: $1,350.61 (includes international airfare, health insurance, and program-­‐related transportation in Costa Rica, excursions, housing and some meals, as well as the 60% scholarship for BMCC Students) Additional Costs: BMCC tuition and fees for 3 credits, as well as out-of-pocket costs for personal expenses, visa, tips, and out-of‐pocket meals. Optional side trips to local tourist attractions may also incur additional costs.
