The Student Government Association (SGA) is the student
voice in the academic, cultural, and social affairs of the college.
It depends heavily on energetic and interested representatives elected
annually from the student body.
The Student Government Association affects all levels of student participation
at the college. There are 19 elected members to SGA, including four
officers:

In addition to conveying student attitudes and sentiments to the faculty,
staff, and administration; the Student Government Association is responsible
for recommending the allocation of student activity fees, shaping
policies affecting student life, coordinating extracurricular activities,
and chartering new clubs and organizations.
The Student Government Association also selects students to specified
standing committees of the Faculty Council. These committees are generally
involved in the development of policies that affect the general operation
of the college and its constituency.
