Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) War Veterans & Disabled War Veterans Scholarship

Who Is Eligible:

The scholarships are made possible by contributions from Microsoft employees with matching funds from Microsoft, and the AFCEA Camp Pendleton and AFCEA Northern Virginia Chapters.

Merit-based scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded to honorably discharged U.S. military veterans (including Reservists and National Guard personnel) and disabled veterans of Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan and Iraqi Freedom Operations who are currently enrolled either:



1.U.S. citizen

2.Currently enrolled and attending either a two-year or four-year accredited college or university in the United States 

3.Qualified freshman, sophomore, junior or senior

4.Enrolled part time or full time in an eligible degree program 




Deadline: Based on last year's deadline
Amount: $ 2,500
How to apply:

At least two letters of recommendation will be required from field-of-study professors. If that is not possible, we will accept recommendations from commanding officers/employers in your related field.

Instructions on electronic submission of the recommendation letters will be provided to endorsers as part of the on-line application process. Letters will be addressed to:

An official transcript reflecting all college-level study will also be required. All items must arrive by the deadline date - electronic submissions in pdf format preferred.
