U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HRSA) Nursing Scholarship Program

Who Is Eligible:

In exchange for at least two years of service at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses, the Nursing Scholarship Program pays tuition, required fees, other reasonable costs, and a monthly stipend.


Preference is given to qualified applicants with the greatest financial need who are enrolled full-time in an undergraduate nursing program.

Candidates must have a zero Expected Family Contribution (EFC) on the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA) and have agreed to complete their nursing programs as full-time students beginning in the Fall 2017 semester, and are enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an undergraduate nursing program by July 1, 2017.
